In my work I enjoy combining traditional and digital painting techniques to explore characters and world-building; I’m always looking for new ways and mediums to bring my stories to life, but I do favour illustration and concept art.

RIGOR – short animated film

“Rigor” is a character-based animated short film that provides a glimpse into a soldier’s final thoughts and memories as he passes away on the battlefield. It’s a mixed media piece, that explores the themes of perception and perspective; how these qualities will warp and influence our way of seeing or remembering things, and how this can be translated into a visual medium. “Rigor” combines both traditional and digital image making techniques to explore the dream sequence trope.
